About Will Gadd
Will Gadd is an internationally celebrated Canadian adventurer, elite athlete, speaker, and mountain guide—best known for first-of-its-kind achievements such as ice climbing Niagara Falls, capturing X Games gold in ice climbing, setting paragliding records, and forging bold new extreme routes. Beyond the feats, he’s a committed voice for environmental stewardship and has been recognized by the UN as a “mountain hero.”

I wish I could give this place 10 stars – it’s amazing! If you’re planning a trip to the Canadian Rockies (Banff, Golden, Icefields, Glacier, Yoho, Kootenay…) I cannot recommend Camp Moose Trail enough. The hosts are fabulous, they serve hot breakfast everyday (included in your stay), the outhouses are so unique, the glamping tents are cozy, beds are soft….and there’s a wood burning pizza oven, hot tub, and sauna…among many other unique amenities.
We had a wonderful time staying here, and I can’t wait to go back!
We just finished winter camping at Camp Moose Trail on the December opening weekend. I cannot recommend this place enough for anyone that wants an amazing getaway. The hosts were absolutely wonderful and so outgoing and friendly. They serve breakfast and coffee every morning and are super accommodating with anything you need during your stay. Amenities include a common kitchen tent that is cozy all day, along with a communal fire and wood fire pizza oven. The wood fired hot tub and sauna were so special and made the trip even more magical. Our glamping tent was super cozy and we stayed warm throughout the night. I cannot recommend staying here enough … it is a super special place. Thanks for the amazing time Mike, can’t wait to come back!
This place is magical! It’s a little forest oasis. My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and it was the perfect spot after a busy few months of planning and wedding events. Mike, the owner, is so friendly and gave us some great recommendations of things to do in the area. The vibe around the camp is adventurous and laid back and it draws good people that lead to good conversations. We loved relaxing in the hot tub at the end of the day. Golden is a hidden gem – we had a blast exploring the area. We will for sure plan another trip back!
